The 4 possible buttons that can be displayed on a form are:
  1. The Submit button: This is the main button in a form, used for form submission and is always displayed on all forms. You can change the text, colour, position, and type of this button.
  2. The Save and Continue Later button: This button is shown on forms that have the Save and Continue Later option enabled. The default colour for this button is grey which cannot be changed, however, you can change the text to another language or something that best explains the function of the button to your users. This button position and type is dependent on that of the Submit button.
  3. The Next Page button: This button is shown on multipage forms and used to move to the next page of the form. You can change the text and position of this button.
  4. The Prev Page button: This button is shown on multipage forms and used to move to the previous page of the form. You can change the text and position of this button.
There are different ways to customise the buttons in a form which includes changing the button text, the button colour, the button position, and the button type. We will go through each of these options below and how you can make use of the option in a form.

Button Background:

The Submission Button Background option determines the colour of the submit button. In multipage forms, when the colour of the submit button is changed, the next and previous page buttons are also changed to the submit button colour.

To change the Submit Button Background:
  • Access the form’s customise page by clicking the Customise option for the form on your Forms page or after creating/editing your form.
  • On the customise page, click the Buttons option from the Customisation options on the left-hand side of the page .
  • Then click the Submission Button Background field to display the colour palette. Drag the picker (your cursor) around the palette to select a colour, you can also adjust the transparency of the selected from the horizontal bar at the right of the palette. If you know the colour code you will like to use, you can also paste/input the colour code into the field.
  • The colour will be displayed on the button in the preview pane as you move around the palette or when you select a colour.
  • To remove a selected colour or change the button colour to default, click the Clear button in the colour palette drop-down.

Button Text:

The default text for all buttons can be changed. This feature is most useful for people creating forms in other languages.

If you are changing the default text of the Save and Continue Later button, please ensure you change it to a text that best describes the function of the button to your users. Also, note that the option to change the Save and Continue Later button text will only be displayed in the button options if you have the save and continue later option enabled and the option to change the Next and Previous page buttons will only be displayed if your page is a multipage form.

To change a button's text :
  • Access the form’s customise page by clicking the Customise option for the form on your Forms page or after creating/editing your form.
  • On the customise page, click the Buttons option from the Customisation options  on the left-hand side of the page.
  • To change the Submit button text, input your preferred text in the Submission Button Text field, the submit button will be updated in the preview pane.

  • To change the Previous button text, input your preferred text in the Previous Button Text field.
  • To remove the custom text or reset the buttons back to their default text, delete/clear the text in the input field(s).

Button Position:

The Save and Continue Later button is dependent on the position of the Submit button (Default position of the Submit button is right while Save and Continue button is left). You can also change the button positions of the multipage (Previous and Next) buttons.

To change the button position:
